Ever dreamed of diving into a wispy soft cloud? The Jungfrau Panorama Film makes it possible: at 3,454 m above sea level, it gives you an all-round experience of the mountain world that you could never have otherwise. So even in bad weather, visitors can enjoy the unique view of the Alps and ice masses from the Jungfraujoch.
This 360-degree round experience in the Sphinxhalle was co-created by auviso and renewed this year. The panorama projection is based on seven seamlessly connected high-performance projectors from Panasonic. Before the renovation could be started, a three-month test phase took place with a prototype air-conditioning housing specially made for this project at the planned location. During this phase, system-relevant data was monitored and recorded. In this way, unpleasant surprises during the implementation of the project could be prevented. The special housings also allow for a service-friendly revision of the installed projectors in the future.
In addition to the replacement of the projectors and the air-conditioning housings, the necessary system updates were carried out to ensure flawless operation. This was realised in a time expenditure of only one day.
Construction sites at such heights are not commonplace, even for auviso. However, the foresighted planning and the know-how of our well-established specialists guarantee the successful realisation of such special projects for everyone involved.
