Campus Zug-Rotkreuz: new university location
The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Central Switzerland have another "lighthouse" for education and research: the Department of Computer Science and the Institute of Financial Services Zug IFZ moved into Switzerland's tallest wooden high-rise in September 2019. The new university campus is located on the Suurstoffi site in Rotkreuz.
Around 1,350 Bachelor's and Master's students, several hundred continuing education participants and conference visitors as well as around 210 employees use the infrastructure. They have access to state-of-the-art facilities on around 16,000 square metres spread over two buildings.
During 8 months, our specialists installed the modern technology: Media technology in 39 classrooms, in two lecture halls and in 25 meeting rooms; video conferencing system in the collaboration rooms; superordinate digital signage solution on the entire site and sound system in the refectory. In addition, the Event Forum was equipped with state-of-the-art audio and video technology.
