In September, the modern teaching and research building of the University of Basel was opened. auviso installed the audio, video and lighting technology in the prestigious laboratory tower.
A modern teaching and research building with international appeal has been built for the University of Basel on the site of the former Schällemätteli prison. The new building for the Biozentrum of the University of Basel was officially opened in September 2021. The 72-metre-high high-rise laboratory building has 16 upper floors and three basement floors. Covering an area of 23,400 square metres, it includes not only research facilities but also lecture halls and seminar rooms for students as well as the IT services of the University of Basel.
auviso was allowed to implement the installation of the audio, video and lighting technology in this future-oriented research building. This includes the following components:
