In the Davos Congress Centre, the modernization of the technology has significantly increased the efficiency and quality of media distribution and met the high demands on flexibility and performance of the congress center.
In the heart of the internationally renowned congress town of Davos stands one of the most modern congress centers in the Alps. The impressive building comprises three independently operated buildings and offers space for a wide range of events. From medical congresses to the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Davos Congress Center is designed for seminars, conferences and congresses of all kinds and can accommodate up to 5,000 participants.
We were able to modernize the audio and video equipment in several seminar rooms in House B. The previous analog equipment was replaced by new digital technology. The previous analog lines were replaced by network cables, which now act as so-called data arteries. This digitalization opens up new possibilities in the distribution of audio and video data.
A digital signal processor from QSC and the software programmed for it control which data is read in and where it is output. The advantage of this is that manual control is no longer necessary. In addition, the digital mixing console from Yamaha is used, whereby the sound signals are also read in via DANTE, a system for the digital transmission and connection of audio signals via computer networks, tuned and output again to the new loudspeakers.
With the new equipment, the quality and flexibility requirements of the congress center and its guests are met, and the various requirements that congresses entail are handled with ease.
