We care about the environment
Ecological responsibility is an important and significant part of our corporate culture. Climate change and scarce resources are major, global challenges and we as a company are taking these seriously and want to make a positive impact. We select our suppliers, products and technologies based on clear criteria that are in line with the environment. Together with our customers, we specifically search for meaningful solutions so that we can implement projects sustainably. With our employees, we use resources sparingly in our day-to-day work and strive to operate in a way that is as environmentally friendly as possible.
Goals for sustainable development
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations member states in 2015, provides a shared plan for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, both now and in the future. At its core are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which represent an urgent call to action for all countries – both industrialized and developing – in a global partnership. They acknowledge that ending poverty and other disadvantages must go hand in hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and stimulate economic growth – all while combating climate change and advocating for the protection of our oceans and forests.
Our «eco-friendly» label
We have a name for sustainable awareness: eco friendly. With this label, we are committed to the environment, employees and society at large, thereby supporting climate protection and using resources economically.
We are already making a considerable contribution to our environment in terms of power consumption, CO2 emissions and virtual working and with these measures, we are consistently and sustainably improving our ecological footprint.
Power consumption
LED light bulbs
We have converted all lighting for customer projects and our internal use to LED technology. As a result, we have succeeded in reducing our power consumption significantly.
Controllable connector strips
We have control over switching our devices on and off or else we temporarily disconnect them from the power. This enables us to reduce power consumption considerably.
Energy-efficient products
For our projects, we choose energy-efficient products and optimally adjust the stand-by use of the devices. This reduces costs and power consumption.
CO2 emissions
Electric vehicles | traffic emissions
Since 1 January 2021, we have been expanding our fleet park with only hybrid or electric vehicles wherever this is possible and makes sense. We are carefully examining the feasibility of buying new combustion vehicles. Currently, 35% of our vehicles are hybrid or electric. We have installed charging stations in all locations.
We share cars wherever possible and promote the use of public transport so that we can implement our projects as sustainably as possible.
Financial support for employees to use public transport: All employees who are entitled to a company car due to their position are given the alternative of a discount on annual public transport season tickets. In this way we encourage the use of public transport.
Room temperature
Since 2022, we have been reducing the room temperature in our locations from 22°C to 20°C during the winter months, thereby saving on valuable energy and protecting the environment.
Branches
We are active throughout Switzerland and have several company locations as well as service points. This local presence promotes short distances to our customers.
Virtual working
Home office
We give our employees the option of working from home, which means we can reduce the number of employees commuting to work and, therefore, unnecessary emissions.
Digital workplace
Brief internal and external meetings take place via Microsoft Teams and are no longer held in person. This reduces the amount of travel required from customers and employees. Most of our processes are purely digital and paperless, enabling us to reduce paper consumption to a minimum.
Remote support
Smoothly functioning systems and infrastructure are an important success factor for every company. We offer our customers rapid second level support by means of remote access and can thus often rectify faults quickly. This also benefits our environment.
