The Swiss City Marathon 2025 in Lucerne was not just a competition, but a fascinating interplay of sport and technology. We were proud to be involved as a technology partner for the second time.
On October 26, 2025, the Swiss City Marathon took place in Lucerne and the surrounding area. In rainy autumn weather, around 12,550 athletes competed in various distances. The first ones reached the finish line in the rain, the last ones in glorious sunshine.
In our role as technical partner, we were once again responsible for the sound system at the start and finish areas this year. Careful planning was crucial, especially on the densely built-up Transport Museum Square. Here, it was important to plan the sound system precisely to ensure that the audience could hear everything clearly.
We also provided some of the camera equipment and supported the event with a large LED screen. This enabled us to capture the event in its entirety and allow viewers to share in the exciting moments. The LED screen enhanced the event both visually and acoustically, allowing the audience to experience every thrilling second of the marathon up close and cheer on the runners.
An important aspect of our work was precise planning and coordination to ensure a speedy set-up, as the road could only be closed shortly before the start. Our experienced technicians worked closely with the organizers to ensure that all technical requirements were implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
