The new digital display board above the platforms at Lucerne station is almost 100 metres long. That is a Swiss record.
The display board is based on LED technology and is mounted on the 1st floor above the tracks. All passengers getting off the SBB trains use it to go directly to the eBoard. This informs passengers about public transport connections within the city, local events and places of interest.
The installation of the nearly 100-metre display board with a height of 1.27 metres was carried out in cooperation with the US manufacturer Daktronics. The individual modules of the eBoard were pre-assembled at our headquarters in Lucerne for about a month before installation at the station.
