Increased efficiency in the city of Lucerne through the introduction of a customer guidance and ticketing system

The city of Lucerne has optimised its tax and resident services with the introduction of a new customer routing and ticketing system. Our technology and the software from QSome make processes more efficient and reduce the workload on employees, which offers customers an improved service.

The central contact point for tax and resident services in the city of Lucerne receives numerous visitors every day who come to the office with a request or concern. The tax office is responsible for a wide range of tasks. It manages the tax register, collects various taxes and processes loss certificates and tourism taxes. The residents' services offer essential services such as registration, re-registration and deregistration as well as the issuing of various certificates. These services are of great importance for the smooth functioning of the administration and the well-being of residents.
Until now, there was no customer guidance and ticketing system to guide visitors through the process in a customer-friendly and structured way. In search of an organised visitor guidance system, the city of Lucerne turned to us and together we looked for the optimal solution.
In successful collaboration with QSome, we were able to install a customer routing and ticketing system for the city of Lucerne. Various innovative functions were introduced with the QSome software, which, in combination with our technology, simplify the work processes in operation. With the integration of three large main displays, which provide an overview of all counters, and 16 digital counter displays, daily operations can be handled in an organised manner. In addition, the technology has been seamlessly integrated into the architecture of the historic building. In future, we will be responsible for the entire maintenance and support of the technology.
With the new customer guidance and ticketing system, visitors are now guided through the processes from start to finish. In addition, the implementation of this customer guidance and ticketing system has optimised work processes and significantly reduced the workload for employees. Day-to-day operations are now more efficient and give the employees of the Tax Office and Residents' Services more time and organisation in their work.
