The St. Gallen Symposium offers a unique platform for intergenerational dialogue and promotes solutions to global challenges. Using state-of-the-art media technology, we have created a multifunctional space that takes both physical and hybrid events to a new level - ideal for innovative and flexible use.
The St. Gallen Symposium is an internationally recognised organisation and platform for intergenerational exchange and cooperation.
Every year, leading figures from business, politics, science and civil society come together to promote mutual understanding and joint action in relation to our challenges and opportunities.
The symposium is organised annually by the International Students' Committee (ISC) at the University of St.Gallen. A team of around 30 students volunteer their time for ten months and are supported by around 450 student volunteers during the symposium week. Three members of the previous year's team are in charge of the organisation.
During the renovation and extension of the Rosenberg, we were able to realise the renewal of the media technology. The result was a multifunctional and hybrid room. The entire audio, video and building technology can now be controlled using a touch panel. Thanks to optimally positioned ceiling microphones, all participants, whether physically in the room or connected as a hybrid, receive a fully comprehensive and balanced audio experience.
The ideal room coverage allows the speakers to move freely around the room and still be perfectly understandable at all times. The presentations and content are transmitted wirelessly and shown on a 98-inch display. Both the microphones and the speakers were permanently installed and calibrated to ensure complete coverage of the room. This audiovisual setup also makes the room flexible for users in terms of furniture arrangements.
We are pleased to have optimally equipped the St. Gallen Symposium with our technology for every event.
