For the duration of the renovation of the Winterthur Theatre, a replacement venue was set up in the Liebestrasse church parish on behalf of the city of Winterthur. We are delighted that we were able to contribute to its successful realisation.
Our job was to develop and install a rigging structure to integrate the necessary technology safely and stably into the old, listed building. As the Liebestrasse parish church is a structurally challenging building, a customised solution was required. We therefore realised a special load-bearing structure that was precisely tailored to the conditions of the building, but was based on tried-and-tested standard trusses.
This interim solution made it possible to continue theatre operations smoothly during the 12-month renovation and to meet the artistic requirements. Despite the challenges posed by the historic building, we were able to create an optimal and safe technical infrastructure through precise planning and careful implementation.
We are also very pleased to be able to supervise the technical conversion of the Winterthur Theatre ourselves and thus continue to be part of this exciting project. We would like to thank the city of Winterthur for the trust they have placed in us and the partnership-based collaboration.
