Modern audio technology for Dietikon parish church
ReferencesModern audio technology for Dietikon parish church
The Dietikon parish church has been equipped with a state-of-the-art audio and video installation to meet the requirements for excellent sound quality, maximum flexibility and barrier-free construction. The new system not only meets the acoustic requirements of the church interior, but also enables innovative transmission and streaming solutions for a wide audience - both inside and outside the church.
An advanced loudspeaker system from Fohhn based on beam steering technology was installed in the nave of the church. This technology makes it possible to direct the sound in a targeted manner and to cover the entire room evenly without disturbing reflections from walls or ceilings. The system is supplemented by additional loudspeakers for the first rows (so-called near-fill loudspeakers), which are designed for close-up sound reinforcement and ensure precise sound coverage in the immediate vicinity.
The choir room and gallery were also equipped with loudspeakers to ensure even sound distribution in all areas and create an optimal listening experience.
An inductive hearing system has been installed for people with hearing loss, which makes it possible to transmit audio signals directly to hearing aids or chin-rest receivers. This ensures that all members of the congregation can take part in the service without any problems.
The entire technology is operated centrally via a media control system with a touch panel. This intuitive user interface makes it easy to control the audio and video systems. DANTE audio, a digital network protocol for the transmission of audio signals, is used to connect the main control center and the sub-centers in the choir stalls and in the gallery. This enables loss-free and flexible distribution of the audio signals throughout the church.
Video signals are transmitted via AV-over-IP. This is a technology that feeds video signals into an IP network and thus enables flexible distribution. This solution allows audio and video signals to be transmitted to a projector for visual presentations or to a live web stream, for example. This means that church services or events can also be followed by external participants.
A battery-powered loudspeaker solution was used for funerals and other outdoor events. These loudspeakers can be positioned flexibly, are independent of the power grid and offer reliable sound reinforcement even in the open air.
Thanks to the combination of state-of-the-art audio and video technology and well thought-out, barrier-free planning, the Dietikon parish church now has an outstanding infrastructure. These solutions guarantee optimum sound quality as well as maximum flexibility and ease of use - both inside and outside.
We would like to thank the parish and Graf Akustik AG for the successful collaboration!
