ISE 2025: trends, technologies and new perspectives

The ISE 2025

Which technologies will shape the AV world of tomorrow? ISE 2025 provided exciting answers to these questions. As the world's leading trade fair for audiovisual technologies and system integration, it once again presented what the future could look like in the AV sector and in which areas changes can be expected. auviso was not only there as a visitor, but also as an active partner for its customers - with the aim of analyzing trends and identifying future-proof solutions.

With over 1,600 exhibitors, ISE 2025 offered an enormous variety of technologies. Thanks to a tailor-made program, auviso was able to respond specifically to customer needs and discover the most relevant innovations. Our team accompanied customers through the trade fair, categorized technical developments and evaluated their potential for future projects.

Day 1 - A dynamic start in Barcelona

Under the motto “The early bird catches the worm”, our team got an early start to the day. The plane to Barcelona took off at 07:15, and just two hours later they were greeted by bright sunshine in the Catalan metropolis. After checking into the hotel, they went straight to the trade fair, where they conducted an exclusive tour for the customers together with the IDS Group.

In the afternoon, the focus was on visiting key partners: Bose, Allen & Heath and Shure presented their latest audio solutions. A short detour to Hall 2 also gave them exciting insights into the latest LED technologies. The day ended in style - with a joint Spanish dinner hosted by our valued partners Shure, Unilumin and Fohhn.

Day 2 - Individual advice and innovative technologies

On the second day of the trade fair, the focus was once again on finding individual solutions for our customers. After a morning that everyone could use freely - whether to explore the city or pursue an individual program - our team set off again into the world of AV technology at 12:00 noon. They visited selected stands to find out about the latest developments in digital signage and e-paper.

Particular attention was paid to solutions for creative LED installations in the event sector as well as e-paper technologies for room reservation systems and guest guidance and advertising, which were actively requested by our customers. These technologies are playing an increasingly important role in the modern communications and event industry, and our team was able to gain valuable insights into current trends.

After an intensive afternoon full of exciting discussions and new impulses, our team ended the day in a relaxed manner - with a cool beer at the Daktronics stand before heading to dinner, which was hosted by our partner Logitech.

Day 3 - Digital signage & software in focus

The last day for our team at the trade fair was all about digital signage and software solutions. Our team took the opportunity to find out about the latest developments from our digital signage partners and discuss possible applications for upcoming projects with our customers.

Fast-changing content: E-paper tends to be unsuitable for animations or videos, as the refresh rate is low, so if the content shown is to be changed frequently, we recommend a display.

The event ended with a traditional paella lunch before heading to the airport in the afternoon - with plenty of new impressions, exciting ideas and valuable contacts in their luggage.

“The ISE in Barcelona impressively demonstrated how immersive technologies, high-resolution LED displays and interactive systems are reshaping the world of experience. For us as Titlis Bergbahnen, the visit was particularly valuable, as we were able to take away important trends and innovations for digital staging and visitor guidance. The direct exchange with experts provided valuable impetus for the integration of new technologies into our projects and confirmed that personalized, interactive experiences and seamless system networking are becoming increasingly important.” - Dario Roos | Assistant CEO Titlis Bergbahnen

“I see it as a great privilege to guide our customers through the gigantic trade fair with technical, creative solutions. The feedback from the last three years of ISE visits with our customers has confirmed that, with careful tour planning, we can tour planning, we can illustrate our customers' project ideas and visions with pinpoint accuracy, which is greatly appreciated. The almost unstoppable development of the world of media technology can be brought to life in an impressive way, the direct conversations with the various manufacturers and developers from all over the world provide our partners with a transparent and brand-independent overview so that ideas can be further developed and incorporated into project plans.” - Markus Bucher, Media Technology Expert | Head of LED Solutions | auviso

What were the technical highlights and innovations at ISE 2025?

🔹E-paper on the rise - Various prototypes in the field of large-format e-paper displays were shown at the trade fair. Higher color quality and larger formats are making this technology increasingly attractive for advertising areas, customer guidance displays and room reservation systems.

🔹LED COB (Chip-on-Board) technology - Thinner, lighter and more efficient LED displays enable versatile applications.

🔹Creative LED solutions - Displays that are ideal for niche applications and modern designs.

🔹 New generation of cinema speakers - Powerful subwoofers for the residential sector provide an immersive audio experience.

Although this year's trade fair did not present any ground-breaking innovations, it was clear that product ranges are being tailored more specifically to the different requirements of customers. This development was particularly noticeable in the LED sector: manufacturers are increasingly differentiating their products according to quality levels, enabling targeted gradations between performance and cost. This makes it possible to find optimal solutions for different price segments and applications that are both economically and technologically convincing.

Conclusion: What do we take away?

It was particularly valuable for us to evaluate these innovations and inputs together with our customers and to analyze them directly in terms of their individual needs. The discussions with manufacturers and partners provided valuable impetus for future projects.

Now it's time to turn the findings into concrete solutions. Do you have a project in which you would like to strategically integrate AV technologies? Let's find the right solution together!
