As of September 2020, the Lucerne School of Music moved into its new music competence centre on the "Kampus Südpol" in Lucerne-Kriens. The new building is a modern work, training and concert venue with a wide range of uses.
Music competence under one roof - auviso installs AV technology
auviso was allowed to install the AV technology in the new and architectural premises: 82 classrooms, three concert halls, a bistro, a listening room and a studio/control room. All rooms are interconnected with a media and Dante network. All threads come together in the studio/control room. Via the Dante network, all classrooms can be connected to this room, which can function as a central recording studio. In addition, the control room has direct fibre-optic and coax connections to the large concert halls for live recording or control of performances. In order to meet the high audiophile demands of the users, the listening room as well as the studio/control room have top-of-the-range audio equipment. The classrooms are adapted to the respective training needs with different technical designs.
In addition, the building has two meeting rooms with touch displays and intelligent control via touch panel. Signage displays were installed on all floors.
Even after the implementation of the basic project, things will continue: as early as spring 2021, we will be able to equip the large concert hall with a motorised big screen, a soundproof / fixed projector and an associated media control system. Furthermore, the simple operation of the most important building parameters via this media control is planned.
